Good Morning Every one, first Happy Republic Day.Respected School Principal sir, My Teachers Friends,my students and Parents.Our school welcome all.Today is 26th January our known as Republic day of India. 

All Indian show their Dignity and Respect to the National Flag of India that get unfurled on this very day on several Places in India that include Institutes, Banks and many more Places. This day is celebrated all over the country as Indian National Constitution came under force on the same day i.e. 26 January, 1950.

It is true that India obtained its independence on August 15, 1947 but the Constitution of India came into force only on January 26, 1950. During the transition period from 1947 to 1950, King George VI was the head of state. Lord Mountbatten and C. Rajagopalachari served as the Governors-General of India during this period.The Constitution of India was formally adopted by the Parliament of India and India declared itself as a ‘Republic Country’ on January 26, 1950, thereafter this day is celebrated as Republic Day in India every year. After the adoption of our Constitution, Rajendra Prasad was elected as the first President of the Republic India in the Year 1950.

The Constitution had been prepared by the Constituent Assembly which was set up upon India gaining its independence from the British in 1947. This, in fact, was a deliberate act: the 26th of January was initially India’s “Independence Day”, one of Mahatma Gandhi’s many symbolic acts during India’s Freedom Struggle against the British colonial rule, and the adoption of the Constitution on this date was felt able to strengthen its initial meaning, one calling for Indians of all ages to declare their freedom from the British Raj. It is one of three annual national holidays in India, the other two being the nation’s Independence Day on August 15 (since 1947) and the birthday of Mohandas K Gandhi or Mahatma Gandhi on October 2. And so, after the disposal of the Empire of India; King George VI was the last and only “King” of the modern India.

To mark this occasion, a Grand parade is organized in New Delhi which is the Capital of India that starts from Raisina Hill near the Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace), along the Rajpath, Past India Gate and end on to the historic Red Fort in the old quarter of the city. Different infantry, cavalry and mechanized regiments of the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force march in formation, decked in all their finery and official decorations. The President of India, who is also the Commander in Chief of the Indian Armed Forces, takes the salute. The Chief Guest of the parade is a Head of State of another nation.

However, the official conclusion of Republic Day festivities is much later – on the evening of January 29, i.e. three days after Republic Day. This ceremony is called beating the Retreat.This is the day which is celebrated in India and every Indian People show their respect and Pride towards the National Constitution that came under force on the very same day 65 years ago i.e. on 26 January 1950.

Good Morning every one.Respected Our Principal Sir, My Teachers friends,my students and parents.Today I will give speech about our National festival Republic Day of India or 26th January.  Motherland India was slave under the British rule for long years during which Indian people were forced to follow the laws made by British rule. After long years of struggle by the Indian freedom fighters, finally India became independent on 15th of August in 1947. After two and half years later Indian Government implemented its own Constitution and declared India as the Democratic Republic. Around two years, eleven months and eighteen days was taken by the Constituent Assembly of India to pass the new Constitution of India which was done on 26th of January in 1950. After getting declared as a Sovereign Democratic Republic, people of India started celebrating 26th of January as a Republic Day every year.

Celebrating Republic Day every year is the great honour for the people living in India as well as people of India in abroad. It is the day of great importance and celebrated by the people with big joy and enthusiasm by organizing and participating in various events. People wait for this day very eagerly to become part of its celebration again and again. Preparation work for the republic day celebration at Rajpath starts a month before and way to India Gate becomes close for common people and security arrangement done a month before to avoid any type of offensive activities during celebration as well as safety of the people.

A big celebration arrangement in the national capital, New Delhi and State capitals takes place all over the India. Celebration starts with the National Flag unfolding by the President of India and singing National Anthem. Following this Indian army parade, state wise Jhankis, march-past, awards distribution, etc activities takes place. At this day, the whole environment becomes full of the sound of National Anthem “Jana Gana Mana”.

Students of schools and colleges are very keen to celebrate this event and starts preparation around a month before. Students performing well in the academic, sports or other fields of education are honoured with the awards, prizes and certificates on this day. Family people celebrate this day with their friends, family and children by participating in activities organized at social places. Every people become ready in the early morning before 8 am to watch the celebration at Rajpath, New Delhi in the news at TV. At this day of great honour every Indian people should sincerely promise to safeguard the Constitution, maintain peace and harmony as well as support in the development of country.

Good morning All, respected Principal sir, sir, madam, my seniors and my dear friends.Happy Republic Day of India.My name is…… I study in class…..Today  I would like to speech on this great annual occasion of Indian Republic Day. First of all, I would like to say a big thank to my class teacher for giving me such a great opportunity to speech here on the Republic day of India. My dear friends, we have gathered here to celebrate this special occasion of our nation. We celebrate republic day on 26 January annually to commemorate the day when Indian constitution came into force and India was declared as republic country.

I am very proud to be the citizen of India. At this day, we unfurl the National Flag of India and sing the National Anthem to show our heartily respect for our republic country. It is celebrated all over the country at schools, colleges, universities, educational institutions, banks and many more places. It was 26 January, 1950 when Indian National Constitution came into force. The period from 1947 to 1950 was transition period and King George VI became the head of state whereas Lord Mountbatten and C. Rajagopalachari became the Governors-General of India.

The Government of India Act (1935) was replaced as the governing document of India after the enforcement of Indian Constitution in 1950 on 26 January. The Constitution of India was adopted on 26th of November in 1949 by the by Indian Constituent Assembly however implemented later in 1950 with a democratic government system declaring the country as independent republic. 26 January was especially selected because on the same day in 1930 Indian National Congress had declared Indian Independence means Purna Swaraj. Rajendra Prasad became the first President of Republic India in 1950 after the adoption of Constitution.

The celebration of republic day continues by 29th of January which ends after the beating retreat ceremony. At this day, every Indian shows his/her respect and Pride to the National Constitution.
