Ganesh Chaturthi, is round the corner which is touted as amongst the biggest festivals of Hindus with massive expectation each year devotees are having with the festival.

This year we will be celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi on 13 September Lord Ganesh will be coming to our home. Ganesha Chaturthi is also regarded as the Vinayaka Chaviti in southern India is celebrated and rejoices with much enthusiasm in the whole country India.

Preparations are in full swing in Mumbai as the city readies to welcome its most favorite deity this month on Thursday, 13th September 2018.

I am sure devotees of Lord Ganesha across the country would be eager to get the first glimpse of Mumbai’s most famous idol — the Lalbaugcha Raja 2018 idol.

In 2018, Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on Thursday, 13th September 2018.

Few days prior to it, may be on 10th or 11th September 2018 the Mukh Darshan Ceremony of Lalbaugcha Raja 2018 will take place wherein devotees will get first glimpse of Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesha Idol for Ganesh Chaturthi 2018.

Lalbaugcha Raja idol is kept and set aside for eleven days

With Ganesh Chaturthi is arriving the iconic statue of the most prominent Sarvajanik Ganpati, Lalbaugcha Raja nationwide, has been unveiled. Lalbaugcha Raja idol is kept and set aside for eleven days before being immersed on this pious day of Anant Chaturdashi.

The Lalbaugcha Raja idol is kept for eleven days before being immersed on the pious day of Anant Chaturdashi. And during these 11 days, this is ideal for each devotee to offer puja and prayer to the Lalbaugcha Raja or the Lord Ganesha idol.





During this 11 Days Every morning and evening, ‘aartis’ are puja are an offer to the Lord Ganesh Idol and the Prasad is also being offered to Ganesha.

In the end of the festival, the statues are immersed in the water bodies. The devotees crooned lovely and melodious religious songs and prayers as well the devotees chant Ganesha mantras in the name of Ganesha as their favorite idols which are carried to the sea and immersed.

Lalbaugcha Raja 2018 Paool Pujan Ceremony- Lalbaugcha Raja 2018 Wallpapers - Lalbaugcha Raja 2018 Mukh Darshan Ceremony First Look Foto & Video

In 2018, Ganesha Chaturthi will start on Thursday, 23rd September 2018 and the preparations for Lalbaugcha Raja 2018 Ganeshotsav Pandal will soon start.

As always, the start of this auspicious event happens with a Pooja called “Ganesh Muhurat Poojan” or “Paool Pujan” or “Paul Poojan”

During this pooja, devotees pay respect to a giant sculpture of a foot of Ganesha idol. Flowers are placed around the foot of the idol as well as under it. Offerings of fruits, coconut and betel nuts are also made to this feet of Lord Ganesha.

This pooja usually takes place around 60 – 75 days before Ganesh Chaturthi and after this puja the sculptors work immensely hard, day and night to make this magnificent idol of Lalbaugcha Raja on the foot of the Lord Ganesha which was previously worshiped during “Ganesh Muhurat Poojan” or “Paool Pujan”.


Lalbaugcha Raja 2018 Paool Pujan Ceremony :



The “Ganesh Muhurat Poojan” or the “Paool Pujan” ceremony of the Lalbaugcha Raja 2018 Ganeshotsav Pandal will take place on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Lalbaug Market Hanuman Temple from 5:00 pm on wards.

In 2018, the Charan Puja or Paul Puja Ceremony of Lalbaugcha Raja will take place on Tuesday, 19th June 2018.

Lalbaugcha Raja is the most famous Sarvajanik Ganapati, kept at Lalbaug, a prominent locality in Mumbai during Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Popular Ganesh Mandal in Mumbai-Ganesh Festival


Ganesh Festival start on Ganesh Chaturthi(Day of Four) or Birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha, held all over India.In Indian state Maharashtra Grand celebration of  Ganesh Festival.Ganesh festival is observed for 10 days, starting from Shukla Chaturthi till Ananta Chaturdashi (Hindu dates fall between month of August or September) throughout the country. States like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh celebrate this festival in the most grandiose manner.Mostly in the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. One of the best places to experience the festival is in the city of Mumbai.
Thousands of Ganesh Pandals are put up in Mumbai during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.Each Ganapati mandal tries to outsmart the other by bringing in fresh ideas to the pandals and in Ganesh murtis. Lalbagcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal

 


Address: GD Ambedkar Road, Lalbaug (central Mumbai).
Startted in: 1934 
Waiting Time: Can be 20 hours or more in the navas line. General line takes around five hours.
When to Visit: It’s open around the clock. However, the busiest time is in the evening until midnight.
Nearest Railway Station: Walking distance from Lower Parel, Curry Road, and Chinchpolki stations.

The procession for the immersion (visarjan) starts out at 10 a.m. from the Lalbaug market on the final day of the festival, and takes the following route: Lalbaug, Bharat Mata Theatre, Lalbaug, Sane Guruji Marg, Byculla Railway Station, Clare Road, Nagpada, Dunkan Road, Don Taki, Sant Sena Maharaj Marg (Kumbharwada), Suthar Gully, Madhav Baug, C.P. Tank, V.P. Road, Opera House, Girgaon Chowpatti.


 Ganesh Galli Mumbaicha Raja Ganeshotsav Mandal

 

Address: Ganesh Galli (Lane), Lalbaug (central Mumbai).
Started in : 1928
Waiting Time: Can be as little as 20 minutes, or a few hours.
When to Visit: It's always busy. Peak hours are in the afternoon and night from 3 p.m until 2 a.m.
Nearest Railway Station: Chinchpokli, Curry Road, and Lower Parel railway stations are close by.


 Andhericha Raja Sarvajanik Utsav Samitee 

 

Address: Veera Desai Road, Azad Nagar, Andheri (western Mumbai suburbs).
Started in : 1966Nearest Railway Station: Andheri.
When to Visit:
Evenings are busiest, however devotees have some extra time to see the God. The idol is the only one in Mumbai to be immersed on Sankashthi Day, which is five days after Anant Chaturdashi (the last day of the festival when large idols are commonly immersed).



Khetwadi Cha Raja – Sarvajanik Shree Ganeshotsav Mandal, 

 

Location : Khetwadi, Khambata Lane, Mumbai
Started in:  1959

Sarvajanik Shree Ganeshotsav Mandal, Khambata Lane at Khetwadi was established in 1970. In 2016, a 28-feet tall Bal Ganesh standing on an elephant’s trunk on three toes will be a major attraction at this Mandal.Sarvajanik Shree Ganeshotsav Mandal, Khetwadi, Khambata Lane was established in the year 1970. At that time, Mandal’s founders like Late Balkrushna Gandhi, Late Balkrushna Bedekar, Late Harishchandra Zagde, Late Rajaram Takakar and Late Ramchandra Sawant had contributed valuable suggestions and help for growing our Mandal. 


GSB Seva Kings Circle 

 

Location: G.S.B. Sports Club Ground, Near S.N.D.T. Women's College, R.A. Kidwai Road, King's Circle, Matunga (central Mumbai).
Nearest Railway Station: Kings Circle on the Harbour Line and Matunga on the Central Line.
When to Visit: This Ganesh idol only stays for the first five days of the festival, so see it early.
