The World Population Day 2017 and every year will be celebrated on July 11 with the theme ‘Family Planning: Empowering People, Developing Nations‘. This year, the theme of World Population Day aims at providing safe, voluntary family planning to the people around the world and in a way, help in curbing the population growth. While the world population, today, stands over 7 Billion. While India stands at number two with nearly 1,129,866,154 in the list of most populous countries, China remains at rank one with a population of nearly 1,321,851,888.

World Population Day History

In 1987 there was an event called “Five Billion Day”, which recognized when the human population boiled over the 5 billion mark. Since then the United Nations Development Programme has been working to anticipate, support, and offset the needs of a rapidly growing population. The population had been deemed to be growing out of control, and an awareness was being spread about the need for family planning, ways to offset poverty, and the ability to ensure that proper maternal health was observed.

 

The existing strain of supporting our present population is already causing grievous crimes in the areas of human rights and gender equality. As more people come into an a world that’s already doing a poor job of taking care of its citizens, there are more and more of them coming vulnerable to human rights violations such as human trafficking and child labor. World Population Day reminds us that we are part of an ever growing world, and that to ensure there’s a great future ahead for any of us, there has to be a great future for all of us.

International Yoga Day 2017 in GMDC Ground Ahmedabad Gujarat full Information

The city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat would be hosting the biggest ever International Yoga Day event on 21 June 2017. The same was announced by Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev while addressing a press conference in the city on 10 May 2017. The Yogi announced that the event would witness participation from over 5 lakh people. The event would be inaugurated by the state’s Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and BJP president Amit Shah would be present at its concluding ceremony.

World Tuberculosis Day or World TB Day is celebrated 24th March every year. World Tuberculosis Day is observed on 24 March to make people aware about the hazardous disease. What is Tuberculosis (TB)?

Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial disease that is infectious in nature. The causal bacterium is named Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The first prey to TB is an individual’s lungs but it can spread out to any organ of the body.

A person can become infected with tuberculosis bacteria when he or she inhales the bacteria present in the air. When somebody is already infected with tuberculosis and he coughs, sneezes, shouts, or spits, the bacteria spreads in the air making it infectious. When the inhaled tuberculosis bacteria enter the lungs, they can multiply and cause a local lung infection (pneumonia).

The local lymph nodes of the lungs may also get infected and become enlarged. Tuberculosis can be treated successfully today with antibiotics.You can prevent yourself from disease and keep yourself healthy by eating loads of fruits and vegetables, exercising daily, stopping the consumption of alcohol and smoking.

You can prevent TB from spreading out by covering your mouth while coughing and sneezing. Windows should be kept open and the flow of fresh air  should be allowed. And the treatment should also be carried out till the end and medication should be continued even if the patient feels better.

About World Forest Day

Van Mahotsav is an annual tree-planting festival in India, celebrated on 5 June and even in the first week of July. During this event millions of trees are planted.Van Mahotsav was launched in the year 1950 by Shri Kanhaiyalal. M. Munshi, the then Union Minister for Agriculture and Food to create an enthusiasm in the popular mind for the preservation of forest and planting of trees, as “trees mean water, water means bread and bread is life”. It was also hoped that it would create tree consciousness among the people.


Forestry Day has been celebrated around the world to ring a bell among the society about the importance of forests and the scores of benefits which are gained from them. The concept of celebrating a day every year as World Forestry Day originated at the 23rd General Assembly of the European Confederation of Agriculture in 1971.

A forest just doesn’t mean trees only but it’s an entire complex, living community.Many interdependent populations of plants and animals too dwell beneath the forest canopy; the forest soil is a home to large variety of invertebrates, bacteria andfungi which play an essential role in cycling nutrients in the soil and the forest.

The reckless felling of trees is creating many problems in the surroundings so the need of the hour says that everybody should ponder seriously over it.Everybody should actively involve themselves in prevention and creation of new forests.

According to rules of Forest Deptt, 10 trees should be planted in place of cutting of one tree. Though in last two decades only 1% trees are planted.The survival of the rich generation of flora and fauna in the country is in danger due to exploitation of forests, cutting of forests in Hilly areas is loosening the soil, thus the upper layer of fertile earth is eroding which is resulting in uncontrolled rain and flood. India economy largely depends on agriculture.Erosion is seriously effecting the agricultural production.

Christmas Festival Special Speech for Teachers and Student

Good Morning All.Respected School Principal sir, Teachers/Students/friends.Today I will speak about Christmas festival.Christmas is celebrated all across the world by the people, especially people of Christian religion, every year on 25th of December. It is celebrated on the birth anniversary of the Jesus Christ, God of Christians who founded Christianity. Christmas falls every year in the winter season however people celebrate it with lots of joy, activities and happiness. It is one of the most important festival for the Christians of the year which they celebrate doing lots of preparations. The preparations of the celebration start a month ago and celebration ends 12 days after of the Christmas.

At this day people decorate a Christmas tree, invites their friends, relatives and neighbours to enjoy and distribute gift. Santa Claus come on this day at mid night at 12 pm to everyone’s home and secretly keep amazing gifts for the children in their houses. Children become very happy by getting gifts of their own likes in the early morning. All the schools, colleges, universities, offices and other government and non-government organizations become closed at this day. Everyone enjoy it as a Christmas holiday by doing lots of activities throughout the day.

People enjoy a big dinner party called feast. They prepare lots of delicious dishes, sweets, fruits, nuts, etc on the dining table. Everyone wear colourful dress, dance, sing, party and enjoy doing other adventurous activities. At this day, Christian people do pray to their God, confess about their all sins and sufferings, sing holy songs and meet each other with love.

Respacted School Principal Sir, Teachers,Students/My Friends/Classmate.Today is my subject speak about My Favorite festival.I speak about Christmas festival.Christmas is a festival that is celebrated all over the world commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is observed on 25th of December every year. A world wide celebration takes place during the month of December.Once the Christmas season starts, we can see Christmas carols in every street. Christians gather together and sing to raise money for charity. The carols include traditional Christian songs; we can hear these songs in shopping malls and centers.

The customs that people follow are interesting and entertaining. People send Christmas cards to their family and friends to share their happiness and give away their Christmas wishes. On the great day, many activities like praying, dinner party and exchanging gifts take place. The dinner arrangement is generally called feast, where friends and relatives together sit, eat and get pleasure from celebrations amidst their busy life. People enjoy the day with great happiness forgetting all their worries and troubles. Santa Claus is “Father Christmas” who entertains children on Christmas day and gives gifts to them. Children keep expecting the arrival of Santa Claus with gifts every minute. Christmas reminds us of childhood, besides our life today that has become painful and difficult. Christmas tries to give away happiness and hope to people all across the world.

International Human Rights Day-About International Human Rights Day-History-Celebration

Human Rights Day is celebrated every year on 10th December. This day is celebrated internationally to honor 10th Dec 1948, when the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at Palais de Challoit, Paris after the experience of the Second World War. Human rights day was officially established in the meeting of United Nations General Assembly on 4th of December in 1950.All the member states and interested organizations were invited to celebrate this day. The High Commissioner office of the Human Rights was awarded by the Guinness World Record for the collection, translation (around 380 languages) and distribution of the worldwide announcement of the Human Rights. At this event celebration, a global discussion on the human rights is also hosted by the High Commissioner through the social media websites.

It aimed to form a basis for human rights all over the world and represented a significant change of direction from events during World War II and the continuing colonialism that was rife in the world at the time. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is considered as the most translated document in modern history. It is available in more than 360 languages and new translations are still being added. 


Human Rights Day History


Human Rights Day was established in 1948, and ever since that auspicious day it has stood as the first major stride forward in ensuring that the rights of every human across the globe are protected. From the most basic human needs such as food, shelter, and water, all the way up to access to free and uncensored information, such has been the goals and ambitions laid out that day.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was a shout across the world by the leading countries in the world, stating loud and clear that no matter where we live, what we believe, or how we love, we are each individually deserving of the most basic fundaments of human needs. Every year Human Rights Day marks conferences around the world dedicated to ensuring that these ideals are pursued, and that the basic Human Rights of every person is made a priority in the global theater.

The first and foremost way to celebrate Human Rights Day is to take some time to appreciate the effect that this resolution has had on your world and life. Look around your neighborhood and see the effects on a local scale, the charitable works being done to promote the health and well-being of those who are less fortunate.

The next step is to get out there and make a difference, whether it’s simply making a donation to one of the dozens of organizations that work towards this global purpose, or organizing a donation drive of your own to help out those organizations fighting the good fight.

Don’t think that your gestures have to be grand, simply gathering enough to put together a bunch of care packages of simple needs and necessities and handing them out amongst your local homeless can go a long way to helping to support this cause. The need is large, but is made of limitless minor actions that can lead to a world-wide change in quality of life.

Christmas Festival Special Recipes

On Christmas festival people enjoy with  recipes.Here is some information Christmas special recipes.

Kaju Katli Recipe

Preparation time: 6 hours (including soaking time)
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients

Cashew nuts - 100 grams Sugar - equal quantity as cashew after making a paste
Ghee - 1 tsp
Cardamom powder - a pinch

Method

Soak the cashews in water for 6-8 hrs. Remove it from the water and grind to a smooth paste. Do not add water while grinding.
Measure the quantity of paste, take equal quantity of sugar. For e.g: If there is 1/4 cup of cashew paste, take 1/4 cup of sugar.
Take a heavy bottomed pan or a non stick pan and melt the sugar. Add the cashew paste and cook for few minutes. Add the ghee.
When it starts leaving the sides of the pan, add the cardamom powder and mix well.
Remove it on the platform and knead to a smooth ball. You will get a nice dough of it.
Flatten the same with the rolling pin on a plate. Cut it into any desired shape. Traditionally it is cut in diamond shape. 

Nut roast Recipe

Preparation time: 20 mnuts
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Serves:1

Ingredients


1 medium onion 1oz butter
8oz mixed nuts, such as peanuts, cashews, walnuts, etc
4oz wholemeal bread
½ pint vegetable stock
2tsp yeast extract
1tsp mixed herbs

Method

Chop the onions finely and cook them in the butter until transparent.
Blend the nuts and bread together in a liquidiser until you get them to a fine consistency. Pulse the liquidiser if the mixture looks like it is forming clumps.
Heat the stock and yeast extract to boiling point, then combine all the ingredients together and mix well. The mixture should be fairly loose.
Turn into a greased shallow baking dish and make the surface as level as possible. Then sprinkle with a few breadcrumbs.
Bake in the oven at 180C, gas 5 for 30 minutes until golden brown.
