Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra id celebrsted allover India and other country on Ashadi Duj(Day of second).In Puri grand celebration of this festival.In Gujarat Ahmedabad city is large numbers of people come celebrate Rath Yatra festival.In Jamalpur Area Lord Jagannath Temple is celebrated Rath Yatra Festival.This year 139th Rath Yatra will celebrated on 6th July all over India.

Ahmedabad's Jagannath temple rath yatra is famous world over. Since the last 138 years this tradition is going on and once again Lord Jagannathji is out on a (nagar charya) city tour to give his glimpse to the people," NarendrabhaiModi said.

Narendrabhai Modi said he was fortunate that he has repeatedly got a chance to bow at the feet of the deity to seek his lessings.





The Ahmedabad Rath Yatra has a history of more 138 years and this year 139th Rath Yatra Celebration. The procession begins from the Jagannath temple in Jamalpur locality in Ahmedabad city and passes through a 14 km route.The main attractions during Ahmedabad Rath Yatra is the procession of caparisoned elephants. Decorated elephants take part in almost all the important rituals associated with the Ahmedabad Rath Yatra.Rath Yatra will start at Lord Jagannath Temple Ahmedabad after Prime Minister's Pahind Vidhi (Oprning Ceremony) 7: 05AM  and returned 8:30 PM at Nij Mandir.Here is information about Route timing and Places of Rath Yatra Ahmedabad.

There are about 18 elephants take part in Jagannath Rath Yatra.Another important feature is the participation of Akhada Sadhus and Mahants and the numerous floats with different themes.Anothe acctractions are about 101 trucks depcting indian culcture,18 Bhajan Mandalis,Ras Garba,bands and others accompanied Lord Jagannath.Rath yatra start with Pahind vidhi(pay dbeisance by sweeping the path of Rath travel).Rath is halt with saraspur and return jamalpur temple where the local people offer 'Maha Bhoj' to the entire entourage of devotees of Lord Jagannath.All Ahmedabad city close this day and holiday.

A large namber of people to see rath yatra and take part rath yatra.Three chariots(Rath) Lord jagganath,Brother Balbhadra and sister Subhadra visit all Ahmedabad city.Rath Yatra travel distance in ahmedabad is around 14 kms.During thid festival State administration has made unprecedented security arrangements as the procession will pass through some communally sensitive areas such as Kalupur, Prem Darwaja, Delhi Chakla, Dariyapur and Shahpur in the old city.UAVs, CCTV cameras and 20,000 policemen have been pressed into service to ensure that both the festivals are celebrated peacefully in the city.When the procession moves through the narrow streets of the city, people sprinkle rice and gulal on the idols to pay their homage.

The devotees participating in the Yatra are given prasadam, in the form of raw sprouted moong beans. Quite a number of times, the floats are hand pulled by the devotees, crying out loud the name of the Lord.In the earli morning 4:00 Am arrange Mangala Aarti in Jagannath temple ,after 4:30Am Special Khichadi Bhog,Lord Jagannath is come to chariot around 6:00 Am ,at 7:00 Am RathYatra Start at around 6:30 Pm and Rath Yatra return at Jamalpur Jagannath temple.
