Bundi Festival or Bundi Utsav is celebrated in Bundi every year Kartik month or October November month.The Bundi Utsav is not only a major occasion in the state but also an important festival of India.Bundi Utsav is a remarkable cluster of traditional art, culture and craftsmanship which surprises every visitor with its magnificence and charm.The Rajasthan State Tourism Department organizes many events of music, dance, sports, competitions during this Bundi utsav.People visiting Bundi during this festival are truly mesmerized by its scenic and natural beauty.The spectacular mix traditional art, Rajasthani royalty, handicrafts, attires, and home decors are found during the three days of the Bundi Utsav.




Early in the morning after the full moon night of kartik Purnima, women and men are seen clad in attractive colorful costumes lighting diyas or lamps prepared by them from flour dough on the banks of River Chambal and seeking blessings by offering prayers.The Bundi fair includes a colourful Shobha Yatra or a procession where people clad in colourful ethnic dresses take part. Events like ethnic sports contests, arts and craft fairs, cultural exhibits and music and dance performances by folk artists are some of the major attractions during the festival. Deep Daan, local sightseeing, traditional rural sports, turban competition, bridal attire, musical band competition are also some of the major crowd pullers in which people take part enthusiastically. The fair attract a huge number of visitors and villagers from nearby regions.
