The most loved Ganesh mandal of Mumbai, Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvsajanik Ganeshotsav mandal revealed the first glimpse of idol on Monday. Thousands of devotees gathered together to get a first glimpse to Lalbaugcha Raja, which is celebrating 84th year this time. Here are some interesting facts.
➤This year, the Ganesh idol is sculpted in Korma avatar, which is second avatar of Lord Vishnu.
➤The Raja rests a tortoise throne at the backrest (prabhaval) designed by Nitin Desai, a famous art director and production designer from Bollywood, of a Jodhaa Akbar and Devdas fame.
➤Lalbaugcha Raja was founded in 1934 and is also considered ‘Navsacha Ganpati’, which means the fulfiller of all wishes
➤According to official website, the Lalbaugcha Raja will be inaugurated on Thursday, August 25, 2017 early in the morning at 4 am.
➤The pooja and pratishtahpana was done by Mandal President Balasaheb Kamble.
➤The Lalbaugcha Raja darshan will be opened to all devotees from early morning 6 am.
➤The aarti will take place at 12.30 pm and 8.30 pm every day.
