About Bikaner Festival
Dedicated to the indispensable ship of the desert the festival intited with a magnificent procession of edecked camels.It is a colourful spectacle of the beautifully decorated camels with their charm and grace that fascinates the onlookers.Several competitions are held , amidst gay festivities , where Rajasthani songs and dances, , in colourful attire are performed.The desert town of Bikaner is located in the northern part of Rajasthan.A view of magnificent procession of decorated camels against the red sandstone backdrop of the Junagarh Fort presents on eye catching sight.The festivity advnces to the open sand-stretch of the polo Grounds, where camel races, camel milking, fur cutting design, the best breed competition, camel acrobatics, camel bands etc are presented.
