The toothpaste treat trick: Buy Oreos for the office. Then laugh at their bewildered and disappointed faces as they realise you've filled their biccies with toothpaste. You Monster.

Trick your kid into thinking you have an infestation problem by using a beet root with a tail (or a potato and some string).

You can also use gelatin to make this unusual glass of milk.

Tape an airhorn under a colleague's desk chair.

Set out a bowl filled with a mix of M&Ms, Skittles, and Reese's Pieces.

Put a bowl of cereal and milk in the freezer overnight, then watch in the morning as your unsuspecting kid clanks a spoon against the frozen milk.

Doing it without the cutout part at the bottom might be funnier - make your kid think the spider is still in there!

Cover other people's belongings in rubber bands.

Dip onions in chocolate and sprinkles.

Cover the TV remote sensor with duct tape.

Ask your kid to plant some of these in the yard the night before, then replace the “seeds” with real doughnuts to be discovered in the morning.

Leave this can on the counter, then, when your kid asks what it is, say "Dinner."
